Should we keep the same salary coverage type (50% of a player's salary that is being traded) or change to a percentage of the total salary cap ($125M)? If we change to percentage of total salary cap, a new poll will be added to decide how much.
It was brought up that moving to a percentage of the salary cap would be "better" since it would be a set amount that each team is allowed to cover. Under the current coverage model, a team could cover only 50% of any player's salary that is traded. That means that if Team A trades a $10M player to team B, they are only allowed to cover $5M in salary, while Team C can trade a $30M player and cover $15M in salary. Nothing is wrong with this, some people would rather see it as a set amount that everyone is allowed to.
60% of the vote is needed to change.

If you are going to limit the amount a team can cover then you need to limit the amount a team can receive in coverage as well IMO.
