I am the one who brought up the idea as I think it is really unfair to other new teams that 2 new teams got 1 free drop. Those contracts of Segura and Castillo were made in good faith by active owners at the time. They were not made by the cheating team that had 2 teams. Segura was an original contract from the draft and Castillo was bid on last off-season. If they were made by the cheating team it would be a different story. However, allowing them to drop over 45M in cap (so about 22M a team) is unfair. I am in favor of allowing all new teams this off-season drop 1 player free of their choice.
In the email you stated that they were in worse shape than others. I disagree. Some other new teams are in just as bad shape as their teams are. So if we get to vote, I vote that all new teams are allowed 1 free drop. SF and CIN already had theirs.

I understand why you had a redraft between SF/CIN but they should have drafted all of the players good and bad by not having them draft Segura and Castillo it amounts to a free drop of 45 MIL for both teams. SF and CIN are new teams from what I understand their are 9 new teams most are worse or around the same in talent. These teams have a lot of bad contracts like Cin and SF because of owners who gave up on their teams and should have dumped some of these contracts last season. It would only be fair to allow each of the remaining 7 new teams to have 1 free drop like Cin and SF did.

I dont think its necessary for the new owners to receive a free drop but I also dont think its a big deal if they could get a free drop either. It only helps the league by having less bad contracts. If it comes to a vote, Id be in favor of having free 1 drop for the new owners.

I'm good with allowing 1 free drop per new owner

So is there gonna be a vote on this or is it a go? If it's a go when do we have to decide by and do we post that player on Pro Boards?
