Alright I was hoping this wouldn't come up and I could deal with it in off-season but not going to happen. So we need to vote on this ASAP. Here are the options.
OPTION #1
Option #1 is the same as it is in real life. To make a trade, every player in the trade needs to clear waivers or already be on your minor league roster. If that player clears waivers you can trade him to any team as long as your trading that player for draft picks, prospects or a player who has already cleared waivers. CANT trade that player for a player currently on another teams 40-man roster. If the player originally waived is claimed by a team, you still have the option of rescinding that waiver or you can still trade with the winning team. But you can only receive draft picks or prospects for that player.
OPTION #2
Option #2 is what I originally said. After the deadline, players can only be traded if they are claimed by another team in waivers. If a player is waived and another team claims them, then the waiving team still has the option to trade that player.
