Should teams be required to start a player at each position? Right now the rule just says they must have the ability to start a player at each position but doesn't actually require a team to start a player at SS or 2B, etc if he doesn't want to.

If you have a player that can play, you should have to start him. Seems pretty basic requirement to me.

Agree...if you have a player...he should play...question is what happens if a team does not have a player at said position? There were times last year where I could not field a full team due to injuries and I had no cap space to go sign someone and the one time I did there was no eligible player at position.

Agree. I am voting that they should have to start, but think it should be only if have one available on roster.

I voted no based on that premise. I don't think you should go out of your way to fix your starting roster if injuries strike, but if you have someone in place you should start them.
So based on my understanding, my vote is no, if I'm wrong and it's geared towards forcing starts if you already have a player in place, then I vote yes.

Going off the rules in the other league, I meant it, if you can field a full team then you need to start them. If someone gets hurt and you have cap space then you need to try to find a replacement. Obviously not everyone will be able to due to cap space issues but you need to try.

Starting in 2015, all teams will be required to have a full starting lineup. That means you can not bench an active MLB player and leave that position empty or start a player currently in the minor leagues or on the DL. (as of 11/25/14)
If injuries occur and a team has cap space, they will be required to sign a free agent or promote a prospect to fill their vacancy. How ever, if teams do not have the cap space, there are no active free agents at that position, and/or the team doesn’t have a player in their minor leagues there roster will be legal as is.
