hey everyone, i know im new but i thought i'd throw an idea out there that i've seen be used successfully in a similar style league
during the season when you send a player to DL or w/e, and you go to bid on a replacement, that can become troublesome due to cap restrictions etc. one suggestion/solution i've seen workREALLY well is to install a "DLR" tag for players. And you can only have as mnay DLR players as you do players on DL(and fits into your cap space).
for instance
let's say jose reyes goes on DL, so you go sign a SS, instead of signing some SS for $1m/$2m (idk what the going prices are as im like freshly minted, so ignore the numbers if they're off) and 1 year/2year, you will sign them for $1m / DLR sooooooo instead of having to cut them and take a cap hit eventually, or just blow up your cap with all these 3-4 week pieces, you'd just do
$1m / DLR
and basically once your DL player is back you can drop said DLR player for no hit.
i'd be happy to explain it more/better if this is something people like.
i just know it's extremely helpful when you have a salary cap league and have since the league is pretty deep.

I think something else to consider would be for guys who are out for the entire season and on the 60 day DL could have their salaries wiped out for that season. For example, I believe AJ Pollock went on the 60 day DL midseason, but was expected to come back in late August. Same with Derek Holland. I'd still have to pay for them. However Ivan Nova was lost for the season to TJ surgery with zero chance to come back. His salary would be the one I'm suggesting taking off the books. When he comes back next season, he goes back on.

Is a good idea...wouldn't be against doing something like that.
Am against taking injured players off your cap. They are your contract so you should be stuck with them whether they are playing or not. Just my opinion!

with my scenario it wouldnt matter. since the replacement DL player wouldnt count against anything.
i agree w/ not removing DL contracts, but a slight repreive might eb nice. idk
